Here we have the latest version of the current puppy linux named slacko, due to it using slackware repo’s and stuff, and now it looks pretty good after a few problems earlier in the year.
in my run with it so far i have had no problems what so ever and very sprightly it is to but it is not ment for older hardware really, is ment for newer stuff.
but if love pup and want to join the journey of slacko, give it a go on usb…woof.

Here is the kde version of linux mint maya and all is well in the land of mint apart from the software centre and it is still the same problem as always, you can see it in the video, but apart from that all is minty dory…super….

Here we have the xfce version of mint and it runs super fine but i did find it a bit slower than the norm, but then again it is a RC so wont dis them for that,but the speed issue is a one for me on both virtual and real hardware, but i am sure this will be sorted before the real release…super..but try not to kill all humans..lol

Here we have the latest version of mint, but here i have the mate version which i prefer over some of the over versions, now as i have said before i would not normally be a mint fan but since it installed and runs so fine on sneekywife’s machine i am getting more into it.
now to say it is fault free would be a lie but on the whole it’s good, so if your a hopper give it a go in the box before you make your decision as it is a lts so will be supported for a long time…….nice.

Now here is the latest version of pclinuxos and i must say this is the best one i have ever tried, as it does it all without any questions or anything.
i have used it as my own os for about 3 days without fault and i do thoroughly recommend it.
i have had problems in the past with other flavours of pclinuxos but with this one it all runs smoothly without a hitch.
but i will wait for some of the other flavours to arrive before i make my final judgement, but on the whole the KDE version always worked better anyway.so at the end of the day if you want something that just works out of the the box for most hardware, give PClinuxOS a go, you have nothing to worry about, it’s live too…monster

Here we go back and have a look again at legacy os 2,based on puppy linux 2 series made for older machines and hardware,and in it’s favour all you need comes on the rather large 650mb iso,but it does come with nearly everything you need to get that 10 year old machine to do what ever you want and it will run on a P3 600,just make sure you enable enough swap if you want to multi task.
but the real reason for the video is that he is just about to release a new version based on puppy 4, so still for the older hardware but just moving on and cant wait to test it…..pie n’ mash……….nice….

Here we have the latest version of zeven os, based on a buntu backend but using xfce and the BeOS style, now for me i rather like it and it will not suit everybody but if you want something different but is stable this may be the one for you, and on the plus side because it is buntu based you may not get the feeling of crash as if you had got haiku..(even though i do love haiku).
but i will still recommend you all give haiku a go as im sure you will all like it..nuff said.
