Tested on my old laptop, which has the following specs:

Intel Core 2 Duo 2.40 GHz
3 GB of RAM

Operating systems tested:

Linux Mint 10 “Julia” – 64 bit
Windows 7 Home Premium – 64 bit

Flash 10 video tested:
“Desktop Linux Sucks, And What We Can Do About It”

Results:

Linux CPU Usage: 40%
Windows 7 CPU usage: 8%
= Windows 7 is 400% (5x = 5 times) faster than Linux. icon wink Windows 7 vs. Linux   Flash 10 Performance HD

Conclusion: Windows 7 by far the better operating system to view Flash 10 video, especially if you have an old CPU/processor.
