Tutorial on How-to Re-Install Windows 7 to remove delete Linux Mint 9 Or Ubuntu Lucid Lynx in this example. This video has been made by user request for a how-to video on removing Linux and going back to Microsoft Windows if a user has tried out Linux but decides that they want to go back to Windows. Demo done with MS Windows 7 but the exact same steps also apply to Windows Vista, done with a HP Compaq Presario F500 AMD Dual Core laptop.

AQUI LO QUE NECESITAN:

1.- Abrir una terminal y escribir:

gksu gedit /etc/default/grub

2.- Localizar una línea parecida a la siguiente:

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=”quiet splash”

3.- Reemplazarla con una como esta:

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=”quiet splash pcie_aspm=force”

4.- Guardar los cambios e ingresar el siguiente comando en el terminal:

sudo update-grub

EL SEGUNDO PASO ES ESTE:

sudo apt-get install powertop

Lo tenemos que iniciar en una terminal para ejecutando:

sudo powertop

sudo apt-get install laptop-mode-tools

cd /etc/laptop-mode/conf.d

sudo wget http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6609390/Blog/conf.d.tar.gz

sudo tar -xf /etc/laptop-mode/conf.d/conf.d.tar.gz

sudo rm conf.d.tar.gz

Con esto logramos:
Apagar el link SATA cuando no transferimos datos.
Apagar el controlador de sonido cuando no haya nada que reproducir.
Apagar el chipset de sonido cuando no hay nada que reproducir.
Apagar el bluetooth cuando estemos en modo batería.
Deshabilitar wakeup-on-LAN.
Habilitar el autosuspend en USB.
Deshabilitar la salida VGA en modo batería.
Habilitar el ahorro de energía en el CPU.
Ahora, si ejecutamos powertop nuevamente veremos el cambio

I installed Puppy Linux 4.3.2 on my friend’s old Thinkpad 1171.Its got wireless through a PCMIA card. Here are the specs:

Celeron Coppermine 600Mhz
256Mb RAM
10 Gb Hard Drive

Funny how such an old laptop is running snappy with Puppy. It just gave this Laptop a new life and purpose..

This is the Rikomagic MK802 connected up to a Motorola Atrix Lapdock, the last video shows this machine booting into Android 4 ICS, now we are showing it boot into Ubuntu Linux 12.04
