When Non-Contextual Links Devalued We Need Quality Articles
Tuesday, January 31st, 2012When it comes search engines, google is still the king, and they are doing everything they can to maintain their lead, in the hope of furnishing it’s search users better results, according to their official blog, this change impacts 11.8% organic search results, in another word, google thinks about 12% of it’s search results are really bad and need to manipulated. Google started this change almost one year ago, and recently I see some of my ranks were lowered considerably, the good thing is that those keywords promoted by content rich links are not affected, a few of these keywords ranked better than ever, it’s safe to say that old way of link building is doomed.
What is old way of link building any way? a large percentage of SEO firms will do this, they put your links on websites which only exist for holding links, the content on those sites will never be updated, and most of them are useless, we call these sites link spamming sites. New google algorithm most likely will punish these link spammers, the links on those spamming sites won’t work anymore.
Let’s check out a few examples. It was quite some time ago, I started promote the keyword, Sash Chains, it was old way of link building all the way, almost all the sites I got link from had too many links, worst yet, those sites had no content at all. I would give credit where credit is due, this linking strategy worked, eventually the keyword could be found on first page, the party was over when google updated it’s algorithm. Now let’s look at another keyword, chain puller , we put the link in relevant context, not too many plain links have been built, you can imagine how this keyword ranks. So contextual link wins this time, what about future? In fact the only thing matters here is content, when you create unique and quality content, your rank will improve over time, since search engines are another kind of readers. How do you do it? Writing articles and building blogs, for instance let’s examine this one, kaiya eve couture , I build it as a hobby and kept adding good or mediocre content, the result? I got nice ranking for a few realy nice keywords now. As we can see, blog marketing with great content is the way to go. If you can build a group of your own blogs, for instance Grade 70 Chains, then it will be easier to do article marketing.
At the end of day all you need to do is to create quality content, publish and share with people, and put your keywords in the context you’re good to go, this strategy will prevail in short or long term. Persistence and patience are the keys to success, you shouldn’t expect things to improve overnight, it doesn’t matter you’re doing SEO or advertising your business, keep doing what we have to do till the end of world. One of the best articles directories is EzineArticle, new article will be indexed within an hour if not minutes, of course your posts on some blogs will be indexed real fast as well, let look at some aticles or posts which are published and indexed, like this Sash Chain , good writing, interesting content, indexed and cached, all these points make it perfect for SEO.

For wordpress blogs, I recommend twitter tools, then go ahead register a new twitter account and app, link your blog to twitter, then make sure every new post will post a new tweet, it’s simple and elegant, it’s a big loss if you don’t use this tool.
