Google made big changes to the ways their search results rank,   in the hope of offering it’s search users better results, according to their official blog, this change impacts 11.8% organic search results, put it this way, there are about 12% of google search results are considered low quality by google itself. They planned and started the update about one year ago, no wonder I saw a few of my keywords’ ranks dropped like a rock, on the other hand almost all keywords promoted by contextual links are not affected, a few of these keywords ranked better than ever, it’s safe to say that old way of link building is doomed.

What is old way of link building any way? a large percentage of SEO firms will do this,  they put your links on websites which only exist for holding links, the content on those sites will never be updated, almost all of them are garbage, the name of link spamming sites is justified. Now google algorithm probably will weed out these sites, all the links on those websites will have the same fate.  

Let’s check out a few examples. In the very beginning, I didn’t know better, I needed to rank the keyword, Binder Chain, of course with old way of link building, lately I figured that every site in the campaign had way too many links, worst yet, those sites had no content at all. I would give credit where credit is due, this linking strategy worked, lately the keyword link stayed on the first page for a while,   the honeymoon lasted until google changed it’s mind. Now let’s look at another keyword, chain pullers, we promoted this keyword with articles and blog posts, not too many plain links have been built, now we have really good ranking for this keyword. Now contextual links win the battle, then what? In fact the only thing matters here is content, as long as you dole out high quality content, you will attract readers as well as search engines. It’s never too late to build good blogs for business purpose, for instance let’s examine this one, sherri hill dresses , in the beginning I just post to it casually, lately I added nice stuff left and right, the result? I got nice ranking for a few realy nice keywords now. Now you can see, creating quality content and blog marketing is what we have to do to get great result. Say you’re building your own bogging network, such as Chains and Binders, then you will have a powerful weapon in your SEO arsenal.

Bottom line is that you should create great content, share the content with people, in the mean time advertise your business with your content, this strategy will prevail in short or long term. Whatever you do, you will need persistence and patience, nothing will automatically improve overnight, be it your business or search rankings, keep writing, publishing, sharing and creating, you will see the day of success. Ezine is one of the best article directories out there, new article will be indexed within an hour if not minutes, of course your posts on some blogs will be indexed real fast as well, here I am going to show you an article in article directory or on a blog, for example Load Binder, nice writing, good content, published on popular site, all these points make it perfect for SEO.

We’re not finished yet, please remeber, if you don’t take social media account, you’re lost. The Twitter tools is a wordpress plugin, you can install it, then go ahead register a new twitter account and app, set up API credentials in your twitter tools option, then make sure every new post will post a new tweet, it’s easy and really useful, no one should miss this tool out.

Friends, I am using windows. But now I want to use Linux operating system. I do not know anything about Linux. I am confused about it’s various type like fedora, Ubuntu. As I am new to it What should I use and where do I get from? Thanks.

Overall a Linux based platform can perform most of the tasks equally as well as a proprietary platform using OSS. Linux does have its limitations with some applications and in particular gaming.

I thoroughly recommend Linux Mint Debian Edition Its easy to install and easy to use plus it comes with much of the software you are likely to need preinstalled.

Although I have never tried it but I think there are no hard and fast requirements, you just need a running Linux OS with compilers to create LFS.

The output of LFS will have variable requirements based on what system you have created.

Linux Mint 12 Gnome 3 covers a ‘secret’… It’s exposed here: CINNAMON. Linux Mint attempts to bring well-known and favored Gnome 2 characteristics to the new GNOME 3 desktop environment. Until now Cinnamon (in the Mint 12 Software Manager!) is a development, but one might guess that this is the basis of the Linux Mint 13 version, expected Spring 2012. Development goes so quickly that I couldn’t show the new Overview screen from Version 1.1.2 with Themes as a new chapter! You must see and test this…

It distinguishes itself by preventing cluttering of Extensions, what we see now in Gnome 3 shell. The look and feel is more familiar and intuitive. Several aspects will be changed in due course, various shortcomings of Gnome 3 shell ironed out. The current Cinnamon base is FAST and very comfortable to use. Yet, it still is experimental – so don’t expect too much from it now.

CINNAMON is a great way to get accustomed to the Gnome 3 desktop world, with flexibility to tune many details to your liking. Yes, you’ll need a compositing graphics card for best results, but even on older boxes this can work. Linux Mint 12 is highly recommended for its versatility and vast software base. It can be downloaded freely from www.linuxmint.com. A Must-Have!
